What are Canada Express Entry Draws?

Eligible candidates, who are falling in any one of the federal economic programs, express their interest online by creating Expression of Interest. These EOIs are now placed in a pool of candidates according to Comprehensive Ranking Score. Each candidate is received with individual scores based on his/her profile parameters and eligibility factors. Express Entry Draws are a method by which best of these profiles are drawn/selected to be invited to apply. A cut-off score is predetermined and set for each draw. Applications that feature CRS of the set threshold or more are then issued with an invitation to apply for permanent residency.

Who conducts Canada Express Entry Draws & when?

The Draws are conducted by Citizenship Immigration and Canada and at intervals of two weeks (approximately). In the involvement of provincial nominations, the draws can be conducted by provincial governments. 

Since January 2015, the year of Express Entry establishment, nearly 87 draws have been conducted.
